Our Story

When Phillips Electricals left Croydon over 20 years ago, they wanted to leave a legacy that would benefit the residents of the borough. Together with CVA and the council, they set up Croydon Commitment, a registered charity, to bring the business community together to support the local community. Since then, we have:

Facilitated over £1million local investment
Fundraised £440,000 to set up a Grassroots investment fund
Delivered over 16,000 volunteering hours
Since 2011, distributed £165,910 to Croydon organisations via Grassroots Trust
Worked with hundreds of local businesses and thousands of employee volunteers
Supported hundreds of local voluntary groups
