Over the years, we’ve raised more than £750,000 to support local charities and voluntary groups. We like to entertain people with unusual and exciting challenges and events as they raise money for inspiring Croydon causes.
If you‘ve a head for heights try our annual charity abseil. Good at making money? Then our Croydon 100 Challenge is for you. Bit of a performing artist? Then look out for our Got Talent event. We‘ve also organised ‘Committed‘ Comedy nights, the Croydon X Factor, Golf Days, Hell’s Kitchen Cook Offs and Masked Balls.
We usually hold three fundraising events every year, and plan to bring more fun and innovative challenges to Croydon. It may be Christmas Choir singing, sponsoring your CEO to smile for a day, or selling cupcakes in your offices.

Here is a flavour of our fundraising events:
CROYDON 100 CHALLENGE
Started in 2007 and challenges teams in Croydon to compete and convert £100 into larger sums for charity. This is one of our most exciting events through which we‘ve managed to raise thousands of pounds to support local charities such as Mencap (£45,000)
‘JUMP CROYDON’ ABSEIL
One of our most popular fundraisers, where we dare individuals and teams to take the plunge for Croydon Commitment! This has become an annual event since 2011 and is held at a different venue every year. In 2013 we descended Taberner House at 250ft and raised money in support of Croydon Commitment and the Mayor‘s Charity appeal. This year we‘ll be taking on Carolyn House in a free-fall abseil - SAS-style!
VENETIAN MASKED BALL
A dress-up social event for those who like a bit of mystery
Teams go head to head in our Golf Day competition - and for those that don‘t play then it’s breakfast, relax, lunch and congratulate the winners!
A series of Comedy Nights that we have run with Jo Brand, Arthur Smith, Kevin Day and Tim Vine at the Fairfield Halls
Not as scary as a Gordon Ramsey competition and certainly a lot more fun! A round of heats to showcase the finest of chefs among our business community and then a final to determine the winner. A fun (and hilarious) way to raise money for charity.
Companies hold internal auditions and put forward their winner to compete in the finals at Fairfield Halls. Members of the public are also allowed to audition and the evening is a ticketed event open to all. It‘s a great fun evening with lots of encouragement (and heckling!) from competing companies. Winner gets £1000!
